MVI Annual Dinner & Community Awards

Each year, Mon Valley Initiative celebrates the region’s progress while honoring the partners and community leaders that made it possible at our Annual Dinner & Community Awards Ceremony. This year’s event will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 6:00 P.M. at the McKeesport Palisades Event Center.

Awards presented at the ceremony will include:

  • Community Partner of the Year Awards, awarded by fellow community members for outstanding community service.

  • H.J. Heinz Award for Community Service, awarded to an individual that has worked diligently to promote and further the resurgence of the Mon Valley region.

  • Regional Partnership Award, awarded to an individual/organization that has made a commitment to working with MVI on a program, project, or issue.

  • Tickets are $50 each which includes light hors d’oeuvres and a buffet-style dinner. A cash bar will also be available for the duration of the evening. You can purchase tickets online or via check/money order.

    • Online: Click the button above to purchase tickets on the Zeffy platform. When purchasing tickets, you do not have to donate to the Zeffy platform. If you choose not to, on the second page, select “Other” in the drop down under your order summary and insert “$0.”

    • Check/Money Order: Please make your check or money order payable to “Mon Valley Initiative” and send to Mon Valley Initiative, 305 East 8th Ave., Homestead, PA 15120. For each ticket purchased, please include the name of the guest so that we can include them on the check-in list.

  • The ceremony will be held at the McKeesport Palisades Event Center at 501 Water St, McKeesport, PA 15132. There are two parking lots surrounding the venue and one on the other side of Lysle Blvd.

  • Awardees receive a free ticket for themselves and a guest. Additional tickets can be purchased at the link above.
